Tae kwon do has been my life and will continue to be. It has been my light at the end of the tunnel for me. My journey starts when I was a white belt. I remember I always had a problem with putting my hands in my pockets. At the time master Beck was the instructor of the class. For a period of time he took me to the hall way to practice my forms and kicks with me. When test came I knew that I could do it.

Soon after my test I received my orange belt. Once again I learned new one steps and a form also a new board break. By this time I had decided that I wanted to go all the way. Before I had all ready told you why I joined but before football I had almost every sport you can think of but all of them ended the same way. They all were just not a challenge for me. I had hoped for a sport that was a balance of mental and physical.
Also again I tested and made it and received my green belt then later my high green belt. Soon after my blue belt then to high blue. I remember back to when I was a blue belt and I took a break when I got back I had almost forgotten what I had learned. When I tested for my brown belt I thought this was a big step forward for me. When I got my brown belt I realized that a lot of belts look up at you for their forms and their one steps and everything else. It’s like when they have a problem the first person they look to is you. Also when you get your brown belt you have a whole new set of responsibilities that come with that belt. When I was a brown belt I was diagnosed with mono. That was awful because I missed Tae kwon do when I was sick.
As I get to where I am now I can look back and see fun the times and the bad times that I have had throughout Tae kwon do. I have made many friends through Tae kwon do and I think it makes class more fun when you have a friend at class with you. Tae kwon do has taught me that when I focus on something I can do amazing things. Tae kwon do has helped me in gym also. It has helped me feel more confident not only in myself but in what I do every day at Tae kwon do and school. I can remember all of the people that helped me get to where I am now. These are some of the people that I would like to thank.
My family
First I would like to thank my mom I would not be here without her taking me to classes and being the best support that I could ever ask for.
Next I would like to thank my dad for being there for me and taking me to class.
Next I would like to thank my grandparents for taking me to class and also being great support.
Finally I would like to thank all my relatives for the support.
My Tae kwon do family
First I would like to thank Mrs. Burell for taking me to Friday class and staying after to help me.
Next I would like to thank Ms. Burell for the support and for helping me.
Next I would like to thank Ms. Artel for the support and for teaching me.
Next I would like to thank Ms. Parker for support and for teaching me.
Next I would Master Beck for getting me started in Tae Kwon Do and for being teaching me.
Finally I would like to thank Master Wells for staying after to help me on my forms and my one steps and everything else I needed help on.
And yes I would most definitely recommend this to a friend as a fun thing to do in your free time and a new way to make friends. And a chance to learn a new skill and a way to defined yourself in an emergency. And of course it is so fun and once you start in my case you can’t stop.
